Stihl RM655RS Lawnmower

The Stihl RM 655 RS is a 21” (53cm) heavy duty rear roller mower that is ideal for professional users and discerning homeowners who are cutting large lawns and require that classic striped finish.

As you would expect from Stihl, the RM 655 RS is a quality mower that is packed with features to help make cutting the lawn that little bit easier.

The rear roller of the RM 655 RS is made from stainless steel and features high quality sealed bearings for durability. The roller is split in the middle allowing each half to rotate independently which, combined with the smooth surface of the roller, minimises scuffing when making tight turns. The roller with give that traditional striped finish to a lawn and will also assist with cutting up to lawn edges. If you have lawn edges where the grass drops away into a flower bed for example, the rear roller will keep the mower supported on the lawn even if the roller is allowed to overhang the lawn edge.

A single point height of cut adjuster allows you to change the height from a single position making changes to the cutting height very quick and easy.

The RM 655 RS is a self-propelled mower with a single speed drive on 4.2km/h, an ideal balance between mowing speed and quality of cut.

The RM 655 RS is fitted with a blade brake clutch which allows the blade to be disengaged from the engine such that the engine can keep running without the blade turning. This allows you to empty the grass box without having to switch off the engine and you can drive the mower without the blade turning which improves safety when moving the mower to and from the working area.

The grass box is a rigid construction which allows for larger airflow holes than would typically be found on a fabric sided grass bag. This allows for improved airflow to assist grass collection and easier cleaning. A handy grass box full indicator allows you to see when it is time to empty the box. The large 70 litre capacity of the grass box minimises the number of times you will need to stop to empty and, when it is time to empty, the hinged lid of the grass box makes emptying a really simple job.

If grass collection is not required, the grass box can be left off the mower and the clippings discharged to the ground behind the mower.

Power is provided by a reliable Kohler HD775 OHV SC engine which is easy to start and quiet whilst running.

The handle features a soft grip and has three height settings for operator comfort. When the mowing is done, the handle can easily be folded for storage.
